1 million euros for sustainability

For Gutschermühle, 2023 is all about sustainability and green energy.

At the beginning of the year, we not only completely renovated our in-house hydropower plant so that it is now technologically advanced and can provide better performance. A few months ago, we also installed one of the largest photovoltaic systems in the area on our roofs.

The 1180 solar module panels achieve an annual yield of over 500,000 kilowatt hours, which corresponds to the annual requirements of 150 single-family homes.

Together with the hydroelectric power plant, we achieve an annual yield of over 1.1 million kilowatt hours - the equivalent of the annual requirements of 320 single-family homes!

Thanks to this investment of 1 million euros, we will be able to generate around half of our electricity requirements ourselves.
